No two glass projects that come through our shop look the same, and that’s exactly how we like it. At Fleetwood Glass, we design and fabricate custom glass for homes and businesses across Langley, Greater Vancouver, and out to Whistler and the Okanagan, and every job starts with the same question: what does this space actually need? Sometimes that’s a frameless shower enclosure, sometimes it’s a feature wall of etched glass in a lobby, and sometimes it’s a single oddly-shaped panel nobody else wanted to quote. We handle all of it, and we handle it as safety glass built to BC Building Code, not off-the-shelf stock.
Custom glass isn’t one product, it’s a set of choices we work through with you on the type of glass, the finish, and how it’s fabricated. The main options we build with are:
Every one of these can be built into a shower door, mirror, railing, partition, or standalone panel, tempered or laminated to meet BC Building Code wherever it’s used as a guard or in a door assembly.
We keep the process the same regardless of how custom the project is, because a repeatable process is what keeps a custom job on schedule.
We come to you, look at the space, and talk through what you’re picturing before anything is quoted.
Once the direction is set, we take exact onsite measurements. On renovations, we wait until surrounding finishes like tile or countertops are in so the glass is cut to the true finished opening, not an early guess.
We finalize glass type, thickness, finish, hardware, and any cutouts or edgework the design calls for.
Your glass is cut, tempered or laminated, and finished to spec. Standard pieces are usually ready within a couple of weeks; more specialized finishes or unusual dimensions take longer.
Our crew installs onsite and cleans up after, so you’re not left dealing with packaging or offcuts.
We walk the finished install with you and stay reachable afterward if anything needs adjusting.
Timelines depend on how custom the piece is. Once we’ve measured, straightforward tempered glass panels are typically fabricated within two to four weeks, while smart glass, oversized panels, or unusual shapes can take longer to source and finish. Installation day itself is usually a matter of hours, not days, for most residential jobs; larger commercial glazing scopes take longer depending on the number of panels and access onsite. We’ll give you a real timeline at the estimate stage once we know exactly what you’re building.
We’ve spent over 15 years building custom glass across Langley, Greater Vancouver, and out to Whistler and the Okanagan, which means we’ve fabricated just about every shape and finish a job site has thrown at us. Whether it’s an artistic feature wall, a hard-to-fit shower enclosure, or a functional partition for a commercial fit-out, we bring the same attention to fit and finish to every piece we cut.
WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING.
Yes, generally. Custom sizing, tempering, laminating, and finishes like frosting or smart glass all add fabrication time compared to a stock panel, so a custom piece will cost more than an off-the-shelf equivalent. We’ll break down exactly where the cost comes from at your free estimate so there are no surprises.
It depends on where the glass is going. Guards and railings need to meet BC Building Code safety glazing standards, and shower enclosures and doors need safety glass as well. We’ll confirm the right spec for your specific application during the estimate.
Most of the time we build to your existing opening. We take final measurements after any surrounding renovation work like tile or cabinetry is done, so the glass is cut to fit the space as it actually is.
Yes. Switchable glass is a good fit for ensuites, home offices, or any interior space where you want privacy on demand without adding blinds or curtains.
Both diffuse light and obscure detail for privacy, but etched glass can carry a custom pattern where a uniform frosted finish is more of a flat, all-over treatment. We can walk you through samples of each at your estimate.
Yes, we work with homeowners and renovation teams as well as builders, contractors, architects, and property managers on commercial fit-outs.
